I was lucky enough to be at a lecture of his when I was in my first year of college at UCC some years ago. He had just launched his book at the time..which I've been meaning to read ever since. I really must do so. He was a very interesting man, with numerous great stories about Marilyn Monroe and lots of other stars. It's sad to hear that Jack Cardiff has passed away.
