I’m a huge fan of digital delivery of movies in general, and of streaming video service Hulu in particular; they were the first video on demand supplier of commercial content that I think really got it.
Unfortunately if you live outside the U.S. you can’t access the video content. I know there’s a variety of techniques to get around this IP blocking but they all seem kind ‘o clunky to me – so thanks to David Delaney for steering us to Hotspot Shield:
How to Play Hulu Videos Outside of the U.S.
It seems easy enough to use and it did give me an excuse to post one of my portraits of Nashville life – the hulu-hooper above! For more portraits check out the Nashville/Belfast series below:

Sorry to hear that – you might want to try again – I've gotten mails/tweets from people in various parts of the UK that say it's work fine for them – perhaps Hotspot was just down for a while?

I think there goes the saying ..there is no free lunch in this world.
I have an account with http://www.smallvpn.com for $10 a month. It is a paid one but at least i am free from any 'hidden' agenda from these free-vpn provider.
So far so good. Solid uptime and i enjoy my hulu session ever since.
=)

I was browsing around for alternate ways to watch hulu. It looks like the only decent way to do it, is to purchase a private VPN account. I highly doubt hulu can ban them all. I purchased mine from http://www.hidemynet.com, they provide UK and US servers currently, so I can also login to the UK server to access online video offered in the UK :). Like, Iplayer, Channel 4 on demand, bbc, etc. And it's only 5$/month, beats having to deal with the hassles of using hotspot shield (which is now banned anyway).
