TFT 48 Preview – Gran Torino and Our Favorite Clint Eastwood Directed Films

January 26th, 2009by Jett Loe · 5 Comments

play misty for me

Our show this week is a Clint Eastwood Special.  Gareth and I are reviewing Gran Torino and each of us will also discuss in depth our favorite ‘Clint directed’ films.

As the frame-grab above demonstrates, my fav is ‘Play Misty for Me’.  Check out the brother’s hat, (also he only talks in jive).

I don’t know what Gareth’s pick will be, (Firefox?), we’ll have to wait and see.  Feel free to suggest any other Clint business we should discuss on the show.

Oh, I'm excited about this. Clint is one of my favorite actors & directors of all time. I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts on two of my favorite Clint projects: Mystic River and Escape from Alcatraz.

[...] In the film Clint’s character is a narcissist; he sleeps around the small town of Carmel, he’s easy-going but really it’s all about him.  He has friends, but not really.  Just acquaintances that he uses, the barman for drinks, the black buddy for tips on jive. [...]
