The Presidential Inauguration Sponsored by Paul Blart Mall Cop

Presidential Inauguration

In this age of media industry collapse folks are scrambling to find business models that will pay for our new, far more diverse and flexible means of consuming media.

Hulu is one of the new media delivery platforms that gets it right, in terms of presentation to the user. I’d much rather use Hulu than watch TV for instance.  But Hulu gots to get paid.  As I noticed while queuing up their Barack Obama Presidential Inauguration stream.

Paul Blart Mall Cop

Yes, the Inauguration is being brought to you by Paul Blart – Mall Cop.  You’d think Hulu could get somebody, oh I don’t know, a bit more classy, to pay for this stream, (what, Guru Pitka wasn’t available?); but I know, times are tough.

With the above in mind I look forward to Congressional Oversight Hearings brought to you by such films as Watchmen, (“Who watches the Watchmen? We do, your Congressional Oversight Committee!”) and Supreme Court decisions rife with product placement, (“You know, it’s tough deciding which choice the Constitution should uphold, but there’s only one choice when it comes to my brand of Diet Soda! Mmm…Diet Coke, taste the strict interpretation!”).

If you’re around on Tuesday you can watch the Inauguration below, (and really, don’t feel that you have to go and watch Paul Blart – Mall Cop out of civic duty – go see Paul Blart – Mall Cop because… ah…. well… oh… darn, you think of something).
