Ahhh, the tenseness is gone Dear Listeners. Lovely reviews of Casino Royale and the Prestige; and continuing on with the Film Talk curse that someone has to die every episode, we lament the passing of Robert Altman.

I agree more with the Doc on The Prestige. However, the talk is very interesting.
Keep on the good work!

Dude – the Prestige was AWFUL. But, hey thanks for listening!

The Prestige gets better the more I think about it, but one of the wonderful things about Mr Loe is that he is never guided by the whims of public opinion; thus far he is the only person I have heard saying he didn’t like it. But the majority is not necessarily always right, of course.

One thing I cannot understand is that you said The Illusionist is better than The Prestige. Not-at-all! The Prestige’s script is much, very much, smarter. I think its a movie about the “magic” of movies (i believe the concept of the trick is being used as a metaphore of the idea of cinema). I think it talks about how much we love to fall in the trick’s (the movie’s) “traps” and dont really want to learn what the trick is hiding. In fact, isnt a movie just the illusion of reality? Whever, its just my very volatile ideas.
Hey, I would like to hear what you gotta say about Little Children ,thou is not very recent. Tks.

I didn’t care for the “twist” at the end of The Prestige, but I liked both films (Illusionist & Prestige).
